Last updated: 6 April 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account and using Shyft (“the service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Shyft is a shift tracking and pay-cycle management tool designed for zero-hours and contract workers. It allows you to record shifts, calculate earnings, and track pay cycles across multiple workspaces. The service is provided “as is” and may be updated, modified, or discontinued at any time.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must:

  • Provide accurate information when registering.
  • Promptly notify us of any unauthorised access to your account.
  • Not share your account with, or transfer it to, another person.
  • Be at least 16 years of age to use the service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service or its underlying systems.
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the service without prior written consent.
  • Transmit any malware, viruses, or other disruptive or harmful code.

5. Your Data

You retain ownership of all data you enter into Shyft. By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to store and process your data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your data.

You can export a copy of your data or permanently delete your account at any time from the Profile page.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and materials comprising the Shyft service (excluding your own data) are our intellectual property and are protected by applicable copyright and other laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the service without our express written permission.

7. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components.

Earnings calculations produced by Shyft are for your personal reference only. They do not constitute financial, legal, or tax advice. You are responsible for verifying pay calculations with your employer and any relevant authorities.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of earnings, or business interruption, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms shall not exceed the greater of £10 or the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (which in the case of a free service is £0).

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Profile page. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, without prior notice.

Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Sections 6, 7, 8, and 10 of these terms survive termination.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
